Children’s Half Term Sewing Bee Club
**BOOK 2 OR MORE PLACES AND RECEIVE A 15% DISCOUNT WITH CODE BEE15**
Our Children’s Sewing Bee sessions are here for the Half Term! Ideal for kids who want to learn to sew or already love sewing, we’ll be making a different project each session, so children are welcome for one session or multiple.
If they’ve already attended one of our classes previously they can add more details to their projects and learn new techniques. There’ll also be more advanced practice pieces for those who’ve attended before.
Classes are 10am – 12.30pm each day and all materials are included.
Monday 18th February – Mini Bunting
Students will cut and sew their own mini string of bunting, perfect for hanging in their bedroom!
Tuesday 19th February – Simple Skirt
The perfect opportunity to make a first dressmaking project, student will sew up a simple elasticated waist skirt from a range of our fun fabrics.
Wednesday 20th February – Cushions or Reading Cushions
Students will sew their own cushion cover from a choice of our fun fabrics. Students who’ve sewn a cushion before will have the option to add a contrasting pocket at the front, perfect for storing favourite books!
Thursday 21st February – Emoji Cushion
Which emoji will they be? After sewing up their yellow face, they’ll get to choose how to decorate it with their favourite emoji expressions.
Friday 22nd February – Eye Mask
Not only will students learn how to sew up their own eye mask (maybe to help with a lie in!), they’ll get to decorate them how they like; whether they want to be an owl or a superhero or almost anything else they can imagine!
Classes are aimed at children 8 – 12 years old (please note, for insurance purposes, children MUST be aged 8 and above. Children over 12 are welcome to come along if they want to), and we focus on making sewing accessible, safe and enjoyable! The children are supervised at all times and our sewing machines are all speed controlled so they can take things nice and slowly and any pressing is done by the tutor.
Please note; we are very happy for you to leave your children whilst the class is taking place (you will need to complete a Supervision Form upon arrival), but do politely request children are collected promptly at the end of the class.
Our sewing classes are relaxed and friendly, taking place at our beautiful studio at Holme Grange Craft Village in Wokingham, Berkshire.
