Wow, what a wonderful month May was! We have been bowled over by the response to Sewisfaction since we launched in mid-April and want to send a heartfelt thank you to everyone one who has supported us, sent kind words and of course all of you who have ordered from us. We have loved seeing your pink parcels popping up on social media, and have literally done happy dances when we’ve seen your completed makes.
We launched our #mysewisfaction competition in May, and as well as announcing May’s winner, we thought we’d share some of the other brilliant makes we’ve seen out in the wild too!
Becca blogged about her new Deer & Doe Hoya Blouse from our incredibly popular See You At Six Dandelions Rayon over on RedWSews. As it was so popular we don’t have any of this fabric left, but do have lots of other viscose & rayons that would be a perfect match for the Hoya. We think Becca looks fabulous!
Over on Instagram Emily showed us her fantastic new bag, made from our Alexander Henry Bathing Beauties cotton. We love this fun print, and Emily’s choice to make a bag means she can show it off with any and every outfit!
Ruth used our Annie Crepe Georgette to make a beautiful summer kimono. Kimono’s are so on-trend again this year and light, floaty fabrics are perfect for the simple lines which show off prints really well.
Another summery make, this time from Victoria over at Pocket for Sweets. Victoria made the Sew House Seven Bridgetown Dress from our Blue Diamond viscose. We’re very impressed with the pattern placement on this, and love the low back detail.
Eleanor from nelnanandnora nabbed the last 2 metres of our Sail Away viscose and put it to great use making this Colette Hawthorn dress. The finished dress is lovely and Eleanor has done a great job playing pattern tetris to get the dress out of her 2m piece!
Finally onto our May Monthly Maker Winner – when we saw Sarah’s photo pop up on Instagram we were blown away! Sarah sewed the Sew House Seven Tea House Dress in our Rebecca Monochrome Viscose. The dress is so striking, and we think it’s a fabulous match between pattern and fabric. Well done Sarah, we love your dress!
Don’t forget to check out the #mysewisfaction hashtag to see more of the amazing makes being shared. You have until 30th June to enter this month’s competition and be in with the chance of winning a £25 fabric voucher.
